An Autumnal Destination Wedding at Virginia Park Lodge: Dianna & Ian

Dianna & Ian travelled from New York for their dream Irish destination wedding.

Dianna and Ian chose Virginia Park Lodge in Co. Cavan as the venue for their dream destination wedding. Ireland put on a spectacular show, with the Autumn sun shining brightly as they exchanged vows in the stunning parterre garden. They were surrounded by vibrant Autumn florals and their closest family and friends.

We designed a pale, earthy color palette featuring peach, mocha, dusty pink, and ivory, accented with deep plum for an elegant twist on traditional Autumn tones. We used large, lush garden roses, chrysanthemums, lisianthus, and delicate Autumn-tipped eucalyptus in the arrangements. The bridesmaids wore stylish one shouldered BHLDN dresses in shades of green, perfectly complementing the natural surroundings, while the groomsmen wore sophisticated black tuxedos.

As part of our signature service, we re-styled the ceremony florals for the reception in the pavilion. The lush pedestal arrangements became dramatic elevated centerpieces on select tables, while a beautifully curated floral, fruit, and candle runner created a visual feast along the venue’s statement top table. Dasha Caffrey was the woman behind the lens on this occasion, expertly capturing every magical moment as she does so well. We had lots of fun with the centrepiece for the top table, using unexpected accents such as white miniature pumpkins, tiny crab apples and juicy plums mixed in with the florals for a feeling of a an elevated harvest feast. The remaining tables featured a low centrepiece in a gold footed compote bowl, surrounded with candles and accents of fruit. We especially loved the American style escort card table, a perfect focal point for a dramatic elevated arrangement to welcome guests and set the tone as soon as they enter.
