I absolutely adore flowers, growing them, designing with them and creating florals that bring joy and delight to people and the spaces they inhabit. My signature wedding style is inspired by garden-gathered flowers, abundant and romantic and full of movement and life. When styled properly they can completely transform a space into something magical – there is nothing quite like it. When I design arrangements, I think of how flowers grow in nature, with each bloom having it’s own space in the design, giving an organic look and feel. Movement, texture, dimension and a carefully chosen colour palette are the foundations of my design. When possible I like to source flowers grown locally, including specialty flowers I grow in my garden.

About us
The face behind the business…. My name is Brigid Riley, the founder of Fernwood Flowers. I lived in the US for many years, where I worked in weddings & events in the Washington DC area. When my husband and I moved back to Ireland, we wanted to give our children a rural upbringing where they could grow up slowly. To do this, I knew I would need to start my own business. I had a vision for a style of floristry that took inspiration from garden- gathered flowers… abundant and romantic and inspired by the seasons and so Fernwood Flowers was born!
